The Thracian revolution in feeding

Cultivation of the probiotics Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus as isolating them from the green plants and discovery of the lactic acid foodstuffs is a revolution that has changed human development just like cultivating agricultural crops and taming the domestic animals.

Genetically inbred intolerance of milk of the domestic animals was a great problem for the ancient people. They had not got a gene, producing the enzyme lactase which breaks down the milk sugar. The lack of such an enzyme leads to fermentation of the sugars in the human intestines and causes serious health problems.

More than 8000 years ago the Thracian people on the Balkans discovered a new method for fermentation of milk. The Thracians isolated from the green plants lactobacilli (the present Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus) and cultivated them. The plant lactobacilli synthesized the enzyme lactase that breaks down the lactose.

There is no lactose in the obtained products yoghurt, cheese and so on. They are tasty and non-perishable products. They contain billions of favourable live cells of Lactobacillus bulgaricus. This is the perfect food for people.

Probably people had used the lactobacilli living in the human body (the present Lactobacillus acidophilus) for the fermentation of milk till the discovery of the new method. The products made by these lactobacilli are not tasty, they are perishable and contain pathogens. The live beneficial bacteria are not enough and die easily. (This technology is used today in some regions of Russia, Ukraine and in the countries of Middle Asia.) The plant lactobacilli that have entered the body with yoghurt, cheese, etc., intensify the development of the animal lactobacilli in the internal organs. Having entered the body by food Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus promote the secondary reproduction of Lactobacillus acidophilus and reach a great number.

It has been proved that more than 7000 years ago the Thracians underwent some genetic changes and later on – the rest of the Europeans. The new food and the billions of beneficial bacteria have created a gene charged with the lactase production, the enzyme that breaks down lactose.

The new technology has made it possible for people to eat milk and milk products throughout their life.

This food of high quality available at any time of the year and at any place, has changed the development of the human civilization.

The northern continental areas and mountains, abounding in water, forests, fish, game, etc. natural resources, had not been settled. As the Thracians and the ancient Europeans started getting vit. D from milk products, they became less dependent on the sunshine. They started to move with their flocks and settled all over the world. In the North the poor sunshine has led to decreased production of melanin, the pigment that protects skin from UV-radiation and determines its colour. The black skin has gradually been getting more pale. The legends and the ancient drawings show the Thracian Orpheus as a black man. Thousands of years later the king, the slave, the gladiator and the most notable leader of the major slave uprising against the Roman Empire the Thracian Spartacus is a white man.

The Thracian people is one of the most ancient peoples on Earth and the number of the population was almost as the Indian population (Herodotus c. 484-425 BC). They inhabited the East Balkans and front Asia Minor (photo). The Thracian people formed about 8000 years ago, mixed with the local inhabitants and the tribes that had arrived from Mesopotamia and Anatolia, where the life had been dying because of age-long drought (c. 6200 - 5800 BC).

The newly formed Thracian people had kept the learning and the skills of the natives who were good at farming and stock-breeding. They produced the first honey in the world 8000 years ago. The archaeologists have found funeral remains, grains of wheat and bones of domestic animals near the village of Ohoden in North-Western Bulgaria aged 9000 years. The most ancient slag in the world aged 8000 years was found near the village of Yabalkovo in the South-Eastern Bulgaria.

The Thracians had other skills like gold working, writing, etc. They had made the most ancient gold royal crown (photo 3) and prototypes of writing were first invented there (photo #). These achievements show that the Thracian civilization had been existing for 1500-2000 years before the Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations and it is connected with their sudden rise.

According to Euripides (c. 480-406 BC) the Thracians had been eating only “non-breathing” (vegetarian) food – bread, honey, wine, milk, cheese and in the cold winters – game meat. They supposed to be tall people with bright eyes and straight noses (photo #). They lived to a ripe old age – over 100 years of age. Most of the healers in ancient Greece and the Roman Empire were Thracians. They had probably taken with them the lactic acid food “Oxygala” and “Opus lactorum” from Thrace. These foodstuffs were described during the reign of the Roman Emperor Elagabalus (218-222). He is represented together with the Thracian God, symbolizing recovery from illness, Telesphorus, who was a son of Asclepius and Hygieia, a brother and sister of the Thracian Orpheus.

The Thracian heritage. Early Christianity in Thrace, the Apostles Paul and Andrew. Beginning of Reformation

The Thracian civilization has been preserved on the Balkans and in the early Middle Ages it was handed down to the Bulgarian people (inbred Thracian genes – 22 % to 50 %). It was influenced by the early Christian theology of the Apostles Paul and Andrew, who had converted Thrace to Christianity still in 50-55 (photo: examination of Orpheus). Later on the Thracian knowledge was spread in Europe by the Bogomil doctrine. The Bogomil doctrine is supposed to be a successor of the knowledge and the achievements of the Thracians and was disseminated all over the European continent as Cathars’ doctrine. The Bogomils and the Cathars gave rise to the Reformation and the Protestants. The Bogomils, who have kept the secret of the ancient Thracian healers, were known as the best healers in Europe. They used biological curative methods, as they have mixed fermented milk (probiotics) with herbal extracts, honey and beeswax. They steeped linen cloths in these mixtures and dried them up to preserve their curative effects for a long time. They carried them on their tours of Europe and used them to make bandages of wounds or curative infusions. A diplomatic correspondence since 1544 has been saved in which Francis I of France ask the Turkish Sultan to send him a healer from Thrace to cure him from a prolonged diarrhea. The healer cured the French king.

The Master Peter Deunov (Beinsa Douno) was a spiritual master and founder of the third Esoteric School originated on the territory of ancient Thrace, largely corresponding to modern Bulgaria. The first one is Orphism that has laid the foundations of the ancient science and philosophy via Pythagoras and Plato. The second is Bogomilism that has laid the foundations of the Reformation and Protestantism. The third is the White Brotherhood which laid the foundations of a New World culture and the progress of a world without violence and limits of the free creative mind.

The theory of human health is based on feeding with pure and qualitative food with beneficial effect on the organism. Each organism needs specific food, beneficial not only for the physical development, but also for his spiritual and mental progress. Sustaining the body in good health and the duration of life depend on our knowledge of the natural laws and we must live according to these laws. Food is not only the material building our body, but it is also the material building our soul.
